Paris Bistro

Paris Bistro

3 minute read:

As cool as the Chicagoland area may be, we’d all be lying to ourselves if we said we weren’t looking to get away every now and again. More often now than ever before, it seems as though the world is moving even faster, and we’re being held responsible for more stressful tasks at our jobs. Sometimes, I’m sure you wake up and think to yourself how nice it would be to look outside and see that you’re in a magical place like Paris. I’m here to tell you that doesn’t need to be a fantasy of yours, and you don’t need to front the thousands of dollars for a plane ticket either. You can have a taste of Paris and it’s right in your neighborhood, you just haven’t seen it yet.

Paris Bistro is small, and perhaps even a bit hidden from your daily street view, but this place packs a pretty big punch when it comes to your dining experience. The owner of this fine restaurant comes to us from Romania. She felt the same way as we all do, like there is a lack of unique restaurants in our suburban area. She felt as though we were being underserved in this sense, and wanted to bring her own touch to things by offering a French country style theme in her restaurant. If you ask me, Paris Bistro is the perfect way to get us all out of the typical fast food options that just drag us down and leave us without that experience we all want to remember.

Eating at this place offers you a short trip to the streets of Paris for a tasty meal while saving you the time and allowing you the chance to stay right near home. I personally have never been to Paris and have always wanted to go. Stepping into this small restaurant did the trick, making me feel like I was completely removed from my everyday life. The atmosphere they provide is very important to them, and they strive to create the small restaurant feel that you would find throughout most of Paris. I guess you could say they’ve succeeded! The walls are colorful and the windows are tinted to help you escape from the outside world, but it doesn’t feel at all claustrophobic or loud.

I know, you’re wanting to hear about the food! It wouldn’t be a Paris environment without a French based cuisine, am I right? I can tell you this, if you have an uncontrollable sweet tooth like me, prepare yourself. When it comes to pastries, they offer a ton of them which are made daily and easily seen in their display case. Perhaps one of their more popular menu items are their crepes. Their crepes are the real deal to, served to you thin, light textured, and as delicious as you’d expect. While most customers enjoy their meal with a bottle of wine, Paris Bistro is in the process of taking it a step further, planning to offer specialty craft cocktails influenced by Paris itself.

Your first impression with this place is meant to last. From experience, I can assure you aside from the atmosphere, you’ll be able to appreciate the value of whatever meal you choose. You’ll always be brought a dish that you’d normally have to travel to Chicago or Paris to get, and the taste of their food is entirely unique when compared to most of their competitors. Oh, and I should probably mention, a date here with a special someone isn’t always going to break the bank, which is nice for us cost conscious people.

Consistent service is important to the team here and I can assure you they’re always looking for ways to improve. They do their best to connect with you as a customer so a relationship can be developed and they can better recommend menu options that may suit you best. As a customer, you want to know that your cup of their most desired coffee isn’t going to taste different from the first time you had it, and they understand that. Because of this attention to detail, their loyal customers often mention that Paris Bistro is a hidden gem, and they come back for the overall experience. Coming from me, stop waiting and get on over to Paris Bistro.
